Installation Guide
Introduction
This document covers the installation process for Wands for SAP Cloud. The installation process is executed entirely on a client desktop or laptop.

Prerequisites
By installing the software into your system you acknowledge that you accept the terms of the Software License and Maintenance Agreement
To run this version of the Wands, the following prerequisites must be met:

SAP Public Cloud Configuration
Use Communication Management to expose the SAP Public Cloud API’s to ISW Platform Data Sharing Application.
Communications User and System
Create a dedicated communications user to connect to the SAP Cloud instance (inbound communication) and setup a new Communications System representing the ISW Platform Data Sharing Application.
Communication Arrangement
Create new Communication Arrangements to link the new Communication System, User and the following Communications Scenarios.

Installation on the Client Machine
Pre-Install Steps
- Ensure that your Organization has been created on the ISW Platform.
- You have been created as a user and assigned both Angles Professional and Wands licenses.
- A connection to your SAP S/4 Hana Public Cloud instance has been configured and the associated Business Views have been imported in Angles Professional.
- Assign all users to a Group and select Read Permissions for all Business Views.
- Have your ISW Platform username available for use during the client installation process.
Install
Follow the steps outlined below to install Wands for SAP Cloud
- Download the wands_sap_cloudXX.X.X.zip install file.
- Unzip the install file.
- Run the wands_sap_cloudXX.X.X.exe installer – administrator privileges for the PC are not required but may be depending on your specific company policy or configuration.
- Enter ISW Platform username (email address).
Note: If you have already installed once, the username will be populated automatically. - Click Next and select the installation directory
- Click Next to start the install.
- Click OK to confirm the installer has successfully completed.
Launch
Launch Wands for SAP Cloud from the desktop shortcut.
ISW Platform Authentication
The first time you launch Wands for SAP Cloud a page in your default browser will be open and you will be directed to login to the ISW Platform. Once this is successful the page can be closed.
Afterward, when logging into Wands you will be authenticated silently and will only be directed to login again if your refresh token has expired.

Product Specific Installation Steps
There are some steps that need to be performed to enable functionality in specific products. These are set out below.
First Launch
When launching Wands for the first time you are directed to complete System Administration Options. These options settings default to all users. It is mandatory to enter the name of the System Administrator.
New users will additionally be prompted to confirm your user details and accept the EULA.
System Administrator Access
If you have been assigned Account Manager in the ISW Platform you will have access to the System Administrator dialog on the Insightsoftware ribbon.
Connectivity Test
You can test the availability and connection by launching the Angles Application.
- Open a browser.
- Enter https://angles.insightsoftware.com/home
- Confirm you are able login and launch the application successfully.

Custom Certificates or System Proxy
If an additional SSL certificate is required or system needs to be set, the JDK_JAVA_OPTIONS environment variable can be added:
Note: the system should be rebooted to ensure the new environment variable is loaded.
Uninstall Steps
The uninstall is performed on the client machine.
- Open Windows system settings and select Add or remove programs.
- Search for Wand for SAP Cloud version x.x.x and select Uninstall.
