Explode FICO Object Values

The Explode feature will duplicate the current Excel sheet for each of the child values of the selection. The selection might be a range, wild card, or a combination of these options.

1. Select a cell that has a FICO Object selection e.g. a range or wild card (note that most FICO Object values in SAP are 10 digit strings, so if using a wildcard, the leading zeroes will need to be included e.g. 000040000*)
2. Choose the relevant FICO Object from the segment list e.g. “GL Account”.
3. Click the Explode button
4. All the child values are retrieved from SAP and each one is inserted into a new spreadsheet in the current workbook.

The most logical use of this feature is to Explode a report to get the details of a parent FICO Object.

1. Start with a complete GL Wand report.
2. Select the cell in the report that drives the Get Balance formulas e.g. a Cost Center range in the report header.
3. Choose the relevant FICO Object from the FICO Object list e.g. “Cost Center”.
4. Click the Explode button.
5. GL Wand will duplicate the worksheet for each child value found for the selected parent.
