Accessing help

You can access the product help by clicking on the help icon  located under the Tools section on each product ribbon. Context sensitive help can be accessed by clicking on the help icon  located on each dialog.

Keyboard shortcuts

Keyboard shortcuts help you save time by allowing you to never take your hands off the keyboard to use the mouse. Most dialog buttons can be pressed by using a shortcut key. To make the button shortcut keys for the active dialog appear press the ALT key.The underlined letter in each button’s text shows the mnemonic – the keyboard alternative – for each button. You can click a button by pressing the Alt key and the mnemonic. For example Alt-S would click the Save button on the Options dialog.

Mouse shortcuts

The following table contains a list of mouse shortcuts available on selected user interface components:

Buttons Component Action Definition
Right Click Text Box Pull down menu Access to Cut, Copy, Past, Undo, Redo and Select All functions.
Left and Right Table Columns Pull down menu Add, Add All, Remove and Remove All values from selected column.
Predefined Filter Table Pull down menu Quick access to defined filters and filter clear actions.
Left Click Tables Double Click Performs default component or dialog action e.g. select, open, execute, etc.

Filters

Some dialog search components implement a predefined filter to facilitate a quick and easy search. Search components providing a predefined filter displays a filter icon at the end of the search box:

Select the filter icon to display a list of predefined filters or clear a selected filter.
